Job Description

Based in Poole, my client is looking to recruit a Production Planner to join the busy engineering team.


Main Duties:

  • Production planning for aerospace components in an SME using the Standard Production Management Sheet, Capacity Planning Model and Order Management System – to Calculate start Dates and determine completion dates – update Daily.
  • Understanding of load/Capacity in workshop and machining production planning at quality aerospace component SMS Level – Fully Microsoft Excel conversant
  • Ability to populate a production plan with start/finish dates for both internal machining and external processing operations & Expedite to plan.
  • Understanding of load, capacity, workshop scheduling & Supplier Management
  • Update Production Management Sheet in line with latest Customer Order Books/Customer Portals, amend capacity plans accordingly and respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Work to a quoted lead time, make achievable promises to customers and ensure they are met in budget.
  • Daily liaison with Workshop to ensure they have all the necessary equipment to complete each job and source equipment when needed.
  • Ability to work to the businesses BOCS to ensure all work is done inline with AS9100 and customer requirements.
  • Working to procedures in a tightly controlled industry preferably Aerospace [AS9100]
  • Attend meetings – Sales / Recovery / Scheduling
  • Provision of sales as per customer requirements on a monthly Basis
  • Raise Repeat Job Cards and & Issue all supporting Documentation


Salary: £25,000 – £35,000

Hours: 39 hours over Monday to Friday

Location: Poole, Dorset
