Job Description
Based in Wimbledon, my client, one of the UK’s leading childcare providers, is looking to recruit full-time and part-time Early Years Practitioners to join their busy and friendly team.
This position is a great opportunity for a current early years practitioner to further develop their skills and gain a more managerial position within childcare.
Main Duties:
- Provide high quality indoor and outdoor play experiences for children in line with Nursery policies and the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Support with Ofsted inspections, leading alongside Lead Practitioners (LP) and Managers.
- Drive quality and improvement within rooms, learning and planning.
- To engage and lead the team to make and embed changes.
- Ensure information is imparted to parents by nursery practitioners for their key groups.
- Contribute to maintain an attractive and welcoming environment.
- Ensure you observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
- To help maintain the safety, security, physical and emotional welfare of the children in the Nursery and garden environments.
- To work positively with team members.
- To follow all policies and procedures, including, Safe Guarding, Child Protection and Safer Working practice policies at all times.
- To support, supervise and assist all students in the Nursery, giving practical help and advice with assessments.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of current childcare issues, legislation and practices.
Qualifications:
- Level 2/3 Qualification in childcare (or experience and willing to work towards)
- Previous childcare experience
- An understanding of the developmental needs of children.
- Basic Knowledge of health and safety
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding good practice

Location: Wimbledon
Salary: £19,000 – £23,000 per annum (Dependant on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (Part-time hours also available)
